FAYETTEVILLE -- Making just enough plays to win, Fayetteville took a sloppy game with Springdale on Friday night.

Garyt Odom completed 19 of 33 passes for 283 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead Fayetteville to a 35-21 victory over Springdale in 7A-West Conference play at Harmon Field. Catavion Taylor caught 6 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown, while Jaison DeLamar had 5 catches for 79 yards and a score.

Fayetteville (6-2, 4-1) won against its longtime rival despite committing five of the eight turnovers in the game.

"We looked good at times and didn't look good at times, especially early with turnovers and a lot of self-inflicted penalties," Fayetteville Coach Casey Dick said. "Proud to get the win, especially against a really good Springdale team."
