The Bulldogs won their second straight game in the Poplar Bluff (Mo.) Showdown by knocking off Humbolt, Tenn., on Friday.

Fayetteville (7-5), winners of seven of its past nine games, outscored Humbolt (8-3) 16-11 in the final quarter to earn the win in the consolation finals. The game was tied at 39-39 after three quarters. The Bulldogs took the lead for good with 1 minute, 5 seconds left when Jon Conley found Collin Cooper for an open 3-pointer. Cooper led Fayetteville with 13 points.

Frank Morgan added 12, Ronald Johnson 11 and Conley 10 in a balanced scoring attack.

The Bulldogs will be off until Friday when they travel to Bentonville High in the 7A-West Conference opener.
